Fantasia on "Mission Impossible"

Based on the popular television show and movie theme composed by Lalo Shifrin, the Fantasia was commisioned by the LA Flute Quartet and is featured on their 2005 CD Above and Beyond. Fantasia on "Mission Impossible" takes the listener through several moods well beyond the original tune, moving through a slow and mysterious moment followed by an energetic fugue which takes the piece into its brilliant close.
